Abstract
Any architectural object can be considered an enduring good through time but not infinite and that is why the term ephemeral architecture could be applied to a greater or lesser extent to all architectures. Due to its nature, in some cases, the life span of the architectural object is already marked from its conception, as is the case with pavilions at international fairs, scenographies for shows, urban sets, among others.
Ephemeral architecture is easily applicable in public space; Being more than a simple physical fact resulting from the conformation of the city, in some way it is represented as a stage and central axis of public communication, causing the free expression of a society that interacts freely, promoting the strengthening of culture and its representations citizens; But in order to work with ephemeral proposals, it is important to review and know their historical antecedents and current manifestations, as well as their most outstanding achievements and expressions, as well as to identify their distinctive elements and components, in order to understand this architectural aspect as a social and cultural phenomenon.
