Abstract
The objective of this paper is to present an analysis of the public space of the Valle del Paraíso neighborhood in Puebla, based on the evaluation of the citizen-urban rights proposed by Jordi Borja at the beginning of the 21st century. To do this, it begins with some conceptual clarifications about public space and its citizen-urban rights, made from the review of specialized literature; then, a brief situational diagnosis of the study area prepared by collecting empirical information in the neighborhood and consulting the national housing inventory of the INEGI; and, finally, an evaluation of compliance with citizen-urban rights focused on the public space of Valle del Paraíso is carried out, finding that the neighborhood does not have the appropriate conditions to provide a favorable quality of public life and, on the contrary, finds all rights violated.
